For its 10th anniversary presentation at Art X Lagos, Gallery 1957 is proud to present a dynamic group show featuring Lois Selasie Arde-Acquah, Kofi Agorsor, Nana Bruce, Andrew Pierre Hart, Jeremiah Quarshie, and Na Chainkua Reindorf. The exhibition brings together contemporary African artists whose practices explore identity, memory, ritual, and transformation through diverse media, including painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

Together, the presentation forms a rich conversation across media and approaches, highlighting the creativity, depth, and innovation of contemporary African art. The works reflect a shared engagement with heritage, identity, and the act of creation itself, inviting viewers into spaces of reflection, connection, and imaginative possibility.
