In-Depth Feature of Gallery 1957 in The New York Times

Gallery 1957 would like to extend our gratitude to The New York Times and Ginanne Brownell for the in depth feature “From Africa to Hong Kong, a Gallery’s Influence Grows.”

Thank you to all of the artists who shared their insights for this article and whose work we will be exhibiting at Art Basel Hong Kong; Gideon Appah, Amoako Boafo, Kwesi Botchway, Serge Attukwei Clottey, Tiffanie Delune, Godfried Donkor, Nabeeha Mohamed and Kaloki Nyamai as well as Rita Mawuena Benissan; and to our friends and collaborators that took the time to share their words of support, Touria El Glaoui, Katherine Finerty and Ekow Eshun.

Also featured in the piece is the recently opened group exhibition at our London outpost, ’Constellations, Part 1: Figures on Earth & Beyond,’ co-curated by Katherine Finerty, Nuna Adisenu-Doe and Tracy Naa Koshie Thompson and on view until 25th May 2024.
